Twenty-three people, including seven people involved in various services at Odisha’s Sri Jagannath Temple, informed the Shri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on Tuesday that they have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
According to the SJTA, three SJTA employees, seven soldiers and three members of their families, eight people working in the temple’s shoe stand, security personnel and a garden were infected with the deadly virus.
All the Covid infected persons have been asked to remain in home isolation, sources added.
Earlier, three family members, who had reached Puri from Surat by train, tested positive for Covid-19.
Meanwhile, in view of the increasing number of cases of coronavirus in the holy city of SJTA, Niladri devotee has set up a health camp here in the Niwa Conference Hall for servitors of Srimandir and their families.
The Health Camp is scheduled for 12th, 13th and 15th April for distribution of homeopathic medicines on free of cost basis, said the SJTA.
